These paintings are of organic forms that are based in the natural world as we know it, but with an underlying sense of mutation or outside experimentation. The imagery rests in a place between the beautiful and the grotesque, mimicking both the beauty of creation and the disturbance of mutation. I utilize the texture and fluidity of paint to represent the alchemical transitions of these created beings. My subjects are simultaneously growing, dying, being born, and exploding, in an endless natural cycle.
